Bangladesh’s exports to the United States increased by 11.51 percent during the July–October period of the 2026–27 fiscal year, according to the latest data from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
The country earned US$3.35 billion from exports to the US market in the first four months of the current fiscal year, up from US$3.00 billion in the same period of FY2025-26.
The United States accounted for nearly one-fifth of Bangladesh’s total merchandise export earnings during the period, highlighting its importance to the country’s export-oriented economy.
The growth indicates that demand for Bangladeshi products in the US remains strong despite global economic uncertainty, changing consumer behaviour and intensifying competition among exporting countries.
Overall, Bangladesh earned US$17.09 billion from merchandise exports during July–October of FY2026-27, registering a 5.88 percent increase compared with the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
The latest figures reflect the continued competitiveness of Bangladeshi products in one of the world’s major consumer markets.
