BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today condemned the attack on National Citizen Party (NCP) Member Secretary Akhter Hossen at a New York airport, saying it highlighted that the Awami League remains unrepentant for its past actions.
On his verified Facebook account, Fakhrul wrote, "The Awami League will face trial for all their wrongdoings."
Akhter was attacked upon arrival in the United States yesterday.
A video circulating online shows Akhter walking away with what appears to be egg yolk dripping down his back while aides try to shield him.
