Television actress Sarika Sabah is preparing to return to television dramas after a two-year break. During her time away from the small screen, she focused mainly on OTT productions and television commercials.

Sarika made her OTT debut last year with director Syed Ahmed Shawki’s web series Gulmohor. She has also completed shooting for another web film, which is expected to be released by the end of this year.

The actress said the production house had not yet permitted the release of promotional information about the project.

Sarika is now preparing for upcoming Valentine’s Day and Eid productions. As the two occasions are close together, she has recently completed shooting for five to six fiction projects.

Most of these dramas feature Saad Salmi Naovi opposite her. She has also worked with several new co-actors.

Sarika and Naovi’s on-screen chemistry has received appreciation from viewers. The two have known each other since their student days at North South University.

Speaking about their professional relationship, Sarika said they had known each other for a long time. Their professional communication increased after Naovi entered the entertainment industry. Their close relationship allows them to exchange honest opinions about acting and storytelling, which helps both improve their performances.

Sarika first gained popularity through the television drama serial Family Crisis. After working in television for several years, she took a break from regular drama productions to focus on other platforms and explore different opportunities.
